Can't See The Wood...

ADDING MORE FOLIAGE TO THE DROPZONE TABLE

After asking for some feedback on the board last week, the masses decreed that adding some trees to the board would really tie the overgrown buildings together and make it look closer to my vision of an abandoned, ruined city
I could not disagree with this, and though I had dreamed that the board was finished, I promptly poured more money into the project - this time adding some trees from my local Model Railway shop
Eleven pieces of woodland were created, based on thick plasticard and detailed with rocks, car hulks and undergrowth. Some of these pieces are designed to nestle directly next to the buildings, while others offer large footprints and can stand in for buildings
I initially thought I had made too many, and they would dominate the board. As it turns out, not so much!
I am happy with the results so far, not overwhelming the board but nicely tying the overgrown buildings together and giving some sense of narrative to the board
The feedback from last week has awoken more ideas in my mind, and I have plans for a few more buildings. Then, finally, it should be finished!
Thanks for reading,

George
