Spec Ops

This is only the second Infinity miniature I've bought simply because I liked the model.  The other is Tarik Mansuri, although he remains unpainted.

Because of my World War Two wargaming background, I'm comfortable with the amount of time and effort painting camouflage takes - in fact I don't find it to be much longer than a plain colour as there's less highlighting and shading to do.

I wanted a nice worn look to the black, I'm quite pleased with the effect on the material items (face mask and boots), but not really happy with the flat areas (forearm armour and knife sheath).

It seems tactical rocks are here to stay, so figured I'd embrace it.

So, this miniature is going up for prize support at the next SCTS event, which I think is in June.  Ideally I'd like it to go for the most-sporting player.  That may be controversial and ultimately I'll leave it in the TO's capable hands.  I just felt I wanted to contribute in someway to the Infinity community.  Will I do more...I don't know, it might depend on how well this goes down.

Feedback is welcome!

Thanks for reading,

Dave

  1. Looks great! Shame I won't be able to make the event to try and win it!
