AAR - The Kingdom of Denmark versus The Russian Coalition

"For many months the Markgraf had been held at the Prussian port of Bremerhaven, safe from the vengeance of the Russian Coalition and their allies. A fortified city zealously defended by the Prussian Empire, Bremerhaven was considered unassailable by most military tacticians. For many, the only option was patience - to lure the Markgraf out into open water once more where they could have their chance to retake the vessel.

The Russian Coalition were not famed for their patience, however, and the Tsar demanded that this costly pursuit come to an end and Russian pride restored. He ordered massive reinforcement for the White Banner Northern Fleet, diverting flotillas, squadrons and entire Battle Groups into the North Sea. Plotting their attack upon Bremerhaven, they were bolstered by the immense siege-engine, the Petrushka. The power of the Sturginium-powered Bombard on its shoulder would shatter the harbour walls of Bremerhaven and force the Markgraf out into the water, or be destroyed in anchor.

Attempting to avoid the attentions of the Teutonic Order patrolling the shores of Norway, the Petrushka travelled down through the storms and swells of the North Sea. Accompanied by Battle Group Kreml, it built up a strong pace that would carry it south and straight into the walls of the Prussian port.

First however, it would have to break through the minefields of the Kingdom of Denmark..."

AAR - The Kingdom of Denmark versus The Russian Coalition

"In the wake of the disastrous clash at Midbrødøya, the Markgraf plunged deeper south along the Norwegian coastline, eventually clearing the Skagerrak and closing on the Kingdom of Denmark. Off Thisted, the mighty Dreadnought was met by the Søværnet and escorted to the port of Thyboron for refit and repair.

Baron Karl-Ehrhart Grunner had exerted his authority on the Danes, but they would not tolerate his presence for long - already a fleet of Russian ships had entered their territorial waters and Battle Group Agdlek, "fleet in being" at Naval Base Frederickshavn, had been forced to leave port and commit to intercepting them.

The Russian fleet remained in pursuit of the Markgraf, but with it protected in port they diverted their attentions to a pair of Sturgnium refineries north of Agger. A swift raid on these refineries would damage the Danish war effort for relatively little cost, or so it was hoped. Unfortunately they underestimated the speed of Battle Group Agdlek, and soon found themselves facing a strong fleet in the shallow waters off Agger..."

AAR - The Kingdom of Denmark and Prussian Empire versus The Russian Coalition

"Anticipating strong resistance, the White Banner Northern Fleet moved against Stavanger in the early hours of the 29th April, 1873. Leading the attack were squadrons armed for naval engagement - Bombardment Group Slava would move into range once the defenders had been smashed aside. The Russian vanguard negotiated the dense minefields of the Byfjorden and quickly came within sight of the walls of the port - but also into range of the defending fleet.

The limited naval assets of the Kingdom of Denmark had been kept in reserve while the 46th Interdiction Group tried and failed to stop the Russian advance, and now they would be forced to prove their mettle in the shallow waters of the port itself. Their powerful short-range gunnery and skill at maneuvering the dense channels of the port would give them an advantage against the immense, ungainly vessels of the Russian Coalition, but they were few in number.

In support of the Danish flotilla, the surviving Prussian vessels of the 46th Interdiction Group had rallied once more at Stavanger, their numbers almost inconsequential against the coming storm. Nonetheless, their expertise and still-formidable firepower would prove helpful, especially alongside the Sturmbringer-class Submarine U-113, an unexpected ally under the command of infamous reaver Jürgen Grönemeyer that had snuck past the Russian fleet to aid the besieged port.

The defenders of Stavanger would have one chance to stop the Russian attack - if they failed, the Bombardment Group waiting in deeper waters would have free reign to move into range and level the city..."

AAR - The Covenant of Antarctica versus The Kingdom of Denmark

"...in the aftermath of the Raid on Ammassalik, activity from the Black Wolf Mercenaries and other pirate companies based at the Rogue Anchorage quietened significantly for some months. The Red Viper had been destroyed and the Black Wolf himself was engaged in battle far across the ocean - it seemed that the power vacuum left was not going to be filled, and the myriad mercenary companies would scatter across the seas.

It was during this time that the Covenant War Fleet Tiberius appeared near Ammassalik without warning, in the wake of a mighty storm. Their incredible ships and curious weapons drew the attention of every merchant, mercenary and spy for ten thousand leagues - what were the notoriously isolationist Covenant of Antarctica doing this far north? They gave no explanation and answered no hails, but began scouring the sea between Greenland and Iceland for something, all eyes cast to the bottom of the ocean. In addition, they began unloading and constructing grand pylons and strange, glowing orbs in an area of open water beyond the eastern coast of Greenland.

Such suspicious activity, violating the Prussian and Danish territorial waters in the middle of a World War, could not be tolerated, and the Kingdom of Denmark despatched a small fleet to investigate, and if needed, attack the upstart interlopers. In the waters beyond the western shore of Iceland, Patrol Fleet Knarr came across an element of the Covenant fleet, a small flotilla negotiating an ice floe journeying south.

Battle would be joined amid the icebergs..."

AAR - Eclipse Company vs Kingdom of Denmark and Prussian Empire

"The Argo may have been destroyed by the Black Company, but its legacy remained - the debris from the wreck had spread over a large area in the time since the attack. From these pieces, Prussian fleet commander Karl-Ehrhart Grunner reasoned, some rather valuable technology or information could be secured.

Grunner despatched his best hunter, commander Jürgen Grönemeyer, and his recently refitted Sturmbringer-class Submarine with a small fleet of fast ships to track down the pieces of the Argo and  recover anything valuable. The Wolf Pack rendezvoused with a Danish patrol out of Daneborg some days later.

Tracking some interesting readings, the Prussian scientists attached to Grönemeyer's fleet directed them south of Nanortalik, an area rarely travelled by Prussian fleets due to the iceberg floes prevalent in the spring months. There, they discovered more than just the remains of the Argo..."

INITIAL IMPRESSIONS OF THE KINGDOM OF DENMARK IN DYSTOPIAN WARS

"Alone of the Scandinavian nations, Denmark has managed to retain its independence in the face of three mighty neighbours; the Prussian Empire, the Kingdom of Britannia and the Russian Coalition. By a combination of careful diplomacy and stout local military power, the Kingdom of Denmark endures these threats and stills stands proud today."
